Assessment of skin and lifestyle
The process begins with a focused consultation to map your skin type, sensitivities, and daily sun exposure. We ask about outdoor routines—golf rounds at Oakmont Country Club, riverfront trail time, commute patterns via PA-28 or Port Authority—and current skincare products to understand real-world wear and challenges that shape the final blend.
That intake steers practical trade-offs: you’ll choose a finish and feel that suits your days and seasons. In Oakmont’s four-season climate we weigh oily versus dry skin needs, how humidity affects texture in summer, and whether you prefer a lighter feel for long activity days or a richer option for dry, cold months.
How the blend is created
After assessing needs, we create a formula tailored to your skin and routine. The 45 MINUTES appointment includes matching texture, testing a small sample on your skin, and adjusting the feel. This hands-on time ensures the final product aligns with comfort and daily use rather than an off-the-shelf compromise.
During blending we confirm practical details: scent tolerance, finish (matte to natural), and packaging that fits commute or gym bags. The session costs $60 and includes the custom mixing and a brief wear-test so you leave with a product designed for your lifestyle in Oakmont’s local conditions.
What to expect after
Once you have your custom sunscreen, plan to follow the product label for application and reapplication. Local activities like golfing or riverside runs increase exposure and may require more frequent reapplication; seasonal weather affects how the product feels on the skin. If your routine changes, the formula can be adjusted at a future visit.
We recommend checking the formula after a season or when your skin changes—humidity, indoor heating, and outdoor sports all alter needs. Revisit the clinic to tweak texture or finish; adjustments are practical decisions based on comfort and wear rather than corrective promises about outcomes.
